Modern Dessert Table for a Wedding at the Walker Art Center

The dessert table for Dara and Barry's wedding reflected the clean and modern style of the Walker Art Center, and had a chic, 3-tier wedding cake as the centerpiece. The cake was decorated with cascading round disks in shades of gray and purple which went perfectly with the Valrhona chocolate bouchons and purple tinted French macarons.  Simple, modern and stunning!  The gorgeous photos were taken by Eliesa Johnson of Photogen Inc. Enjoy!

Tobie's "Oh The Places You'll Go" Bat Mitzvah

Cocoa & Fig had the opportunity to go all-out on a whimsical cake for Tobie's bat mitzvah.  The theme was based on the Dr. Suess book "Oh The Places You'll Go"so you can just imagine the ideas we were coming up with. We also made Fresh Fruit Tartlets, Chocolate Cake Lollipops, and Key Lime Dessert Shooters.  Amy Zaroff Events did an amazing job styling the event and Jeffrey Schmieg took some great shots.

Simply Romantic Wedding Cakes for Rochell and Andy's Wedding

Rochell and Andy had a classically sweet and elegant wedding with a wine themed reception. Cocoa & Fig cakes served as table centerpieces and created a beautiful setting in the ballroom at Rush Creek Golf Club. We iced all of the cakes in white buttercream with pearl piping borders and decorated their two tier display cake with brushed embroidery.  Each of them was topped with gorgeous fresh flowers which added a subtle color accent.  The lovely photos were taken by Hudson-based Debra O Photography. Congratulations Rochell and Andy!

Mini Desserts for Ethan's Bar Mitzvah

A 'Rockin' party was planned to celebrate Ethan's bar mitzvah this summer. 'The Who' themed party took place at the Whole Music Club, located in the basement of Coffman Union at the U of M.  From the photos taken by Jeffrey Schmieg, it looks like it was a fun (and tasty) celebration.  Cocoa & Fig provided desserts which included Dark Chocolate and Key Lime Dessert Shooters, and Chocolate, Lemon Coconut, and Vanilla Caramel Mini Cupcakes.

MONSTERS CAKE

We love making cakes for kids! When this repeat client contacted us for another birthday cake she had one request: no more hockey cakes. Her sons are in love with hockey and only request hockey related cakes. But after 3 or 4, it was time to try something new. And what could be more fun than a kid's cake with MONSTERS? Based on a t-shirt design on Etsy, these monsters are more silly than scary.

They remind me of the characters on Fraggle Rock.
You remember Fraggle Rock don't you?

Ok, so maybe I've dated myself. But I still love these little monsters!
