When Lindsey and Nick told us about the term they had coined for their wedding - "urbustic" (urban-rustic), we knew that we were going to have a blast designing their wedding cake for the big day!  This three tier cake design incorporated a modern fondant ruffled tier, two solid gold tiers, and also one of the cutest cake toppers we've ever seen.  Enjoy the pictures of these two lucky ducks and their wedding cake!

Cake Trio for Suzanne & Bryan's Wedding

Suzanne, the bride, wanted something nice, simple and delicious for her wedding, and what better option is there than a lovely cake trio!?  This trio featured a taller 6" Toasted Coconut Cake, a standard 8" Carrot Cake, and a 10” Lemon Raspberry Cake.  The 6" cake served as the centerpiece and was accented with craspedia flowers and cake bunting which read "we did" - super cute!

4 Tier Wedding Cake: Julia & Lane

Julia and Lane's wedding at Semple Mansion was glowing with gold accents, and a beautiful, 4 tier wedding cake was the centerpiece. The cake was covered in white fondant with a gold, dotted swirl pattern and a black band on each square tier.  The couple's monogram was placed on the second tier, and lovely flowers by Floral Logic decorated the top.  Mini desserts included Mini Cupcakes, French Macarons, Cake Lollipops, Dessert Shooters, and Fresh Fruit Tartlets.  Congratulations to the happy couple!

Barn Wedding Mini Dessert Table and 2 Tier Cake for Allison and Ryan

Allison and Ryan's wedding reception took place in a beautiful barn just west of the Twin Cities.  The bride’s sister is actually a baker here so we were thrilled to be part of her family's special day.  With a theme of "rustic elegance",  the lighting, chalkboards, mason jar vases, pink roses and baby's breath florals came together for a gorgeous setting.   We kept the theme in the mini dessert table by using milk glass and ornate, vintage style crystal cake stands for displaying the sweets.  The dessert spread included Fresh Fruit Tartlets, Vanilla Cake Lollipops, Valrhona Chocolate Bouchons,  Tiramisu & Banana Pudding Dessert Shooters, Mini Raspberry Swirl Cheesecakes, Mini Black Velvet Cupcakes, and French Macarons.  The elegant, 2 tier fondant-covered cake was adorned with sugar flowers, pearls, and lace with silver painted edges.
